Our History

In 1994 Dean Hull purchased State Electronics - a two-way radio service provider that began business in 1953. To address the ongoing need for new towers that will accommodate jurisdictional service and assist in the need to supply tower locations for wireless carriers, Dean formed HLH Towers, LLC and DMD Towers, LLC in 1999. These companies own tower sites through the State of Michigan, many of which are located on jurisdictional property. Dean also formed State Tower, LLC to provide full service tower construction and maintenance.

State Electronics provides and maintains two-way radios and wireless communication systems in more than 25 counties within the state, not to mention other local jurisdictions and professional commercial operations. We are a mission critical company, working closely with law enforcement and public safety operations, including Ingham County Sheriff Department, Eaton County Central Dispatch, Livingston County 911, City of East Lansing Police and Fire, Otsego County Central Dispatch, Clinton County Sheriff (M/A Com) along with General Motors, Ogihara Inc. and Lafarge Company.

Collectively, our technical staff has more that 45 years experience in radio system engineering and implementation.
